Historic Sites And Fabulous Views

Following the valleys west, we fly over Honopue, Honokea, Honokane Iki, the historic valley of Honokane Nui or Big Valley, and Pololu Valley. We climb and cross over the summit of Kohala, the oldest of the five volcanoes that make up the Big Island of Hawaii. On a clear day, you can see all the way from Maui to the south to Molokai to the north while soaring over the top of Kohala. Make sure to keep your camera handy as there are plenty of photo opportunities on this tour!

Magical Waterfalls

You will be amazed as we fly over Waimanu Valley. Waimanu can experience annual rainfall of up to 200 inches, fueling over 1500-foot waterfalls, some of the tallest in all of Hawaii. All of the falls in Waimanu Valley are huge as they start a couple thousand feet up from the top of the valley walls. Some are broken up into multiple drops however, so from the ground you can’t always see the full height. Flying over the top, you will get to see top to bottom and feel the mist rising from the turbulent water below.

Explanation

First, we fly along the coastline of Waipio Valley and then move westward to Waimanu Valley. Waimanu can experience annual rainfall of up to 200 inches, fueling over 1500-foot waterfalls, some of the tallest in all of Hawaii. The valleys are lush and green, home to a variety of plant and animal life.

Following the valleys west, we fly over Honopue, Honokea, Honokane Iki, the historic valley of Honokane Nui or Big Valley, and Pololu Valley. We climb and cross over the summit of Kohala, the oldest of the five volcanoes that make up the Big Island of Hawaii. From here, we have a bird's eye view of the valleys below us. The rainforests are teeming with life as the waterfalls cascade down the mountainsides.

As your tour of the island comes to an end, you'll enjoy a beautiful coastline flight. Rules

There are NO cancellations on neighbor-island day trips. There are fees for changing 72-hours after booking the tour.

If the helicopter tour must be canceled by the company for any reason, guests will be refunded for the helicopter tour and welcomed on an extended sightseeing land tour.

Guests may opt for an early return and receive a refund for the helicopter tour portion. All other costs/change fees will be the responsibility of the guest(s).

Although most guests enjoy our flights with no discomfort at all, some guests are prone to motion sickness. If this applies to you, we recommend taking Dramamine or a similar product. Can I Talk To The Pilot During The Tour?

Yes, you can! Except during critical flight stages, such as take‐off and landing, feel free to ask a question, share impressions or comments, and engage with the others onboard. We provide inter‐communication between all occupants of the aircraft as an added bonus.
What Is Your Policy With Weather?

We fly when it is safe and enjoyable; if the pilot feels that we will not provide a good quality tour, the tour will be canceled. We will re-schedule based on availability or cancel if guest is unable to reschedule.

What Are The Advantages Of A Helicopter Tour Versus An Airplane Tour?

Because of their agility and small turning radius, helicopters can fly you right into the heart of Hawaii’s geological gems, such as the many lush valleys and sprawling canyons, while fixed‐wing aircraft have to circle above. Helicopters allow you a more intimate look at the terrain. Because our pilots can slow down and turn the aircraft around some of the famous highlights, you can take a more leisurely look and are given enhanced photo opportunities. Can I Choose My Seat?

In terms of seating arrangements, our first priority is safety, meaning we seat people in the best spot for the weight and balance of the aircraft. Our next consideration is where passengers would like to sit and what seat will be the best for their experience. We will be happy to accommodate your individual preferences, weight and balance permitting. Most couples like to sit together in the back of the helicopter so they can better share the experience, lean over and see out both sides, and point things out to one another. There is emotional value to sitting together, which for most people is higher than any added viewing value obtained from the front left seat. The open cabin design also allows rear passengers viewing ahead through the cockpit window.
What Is The Passenger Weight Limitation?
