Explanation

This incredible aerial experience marries all of the most breathtaking natural phenomena on the Big Island into one awesome flight. After taking off from Waikoloa, you’ll fly high over the many amazing sights of this famous island. Your pilot who is also a certified tour guide will be able to educate guests on each region visited throughout the tour through expert narration using the onboard headsets provided to each guest. Heading north around the Kohala coast, you are sure to be amazed by the huge sea cliffs, giant waterfalls and lush jungle.

From there the jungle gets even denser as your pilot takes you through the thick vegetation that surrounds Hilo in the rainforests of Hamakua. The next stop on the tour is Volcanoes National park, which is a complete departure from the lushness of Hilo. Catch glimpses of active lava flows from Kilauea and a new black sand beach that was formed after the most recent eruption. The tour wraps up by skirting Mauna Loa before heading back to the landing pad at Waikoloa.

Be sure to arrive 20 - 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time at Waikoloa to check in for your tour.

In order to balance the aircraft for safety, all guests over 240 pounds must purchase an empty seat, adjacent to their own. There will be a 50% reduction in price for these seats.
Front row passengers' total combined weight must not exceed 470 pounds, and individual weight 240 pounds. Should guests’ weight exceed these numbers during check-in, a refund will be made available for the premium upgrade fee, and alternate seats will be made available. Due to safety concerns, please make sure to only occupy your own seat and do not tamper with the instruments or distract your pilot. Lap children cannot be seated on the front row.

Please be accurate when providing weight information. The FAA’s regulations require us to weigh all guests and bags before check in, which we do discreetly to maintain your privacy.
Check in time has changed from 45 minutes to 1 hour prior to departure to allow for additional guest arrival time. A prompt arrival allows for weighing, briefings, and seating to have more time and to go more smoothly.
You will be considered a no-show if you are late in arriving.
Traffic can be unpredictable on the island. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time in case of traffic related delays.

The Federal Aviation Administration has set an altitude restriction of 1500 feet, and we are permitted to fly as low as 500 feet. This range allows us to maintain optimal views of all the sites highlighted in the tour description.
Are There Any Special Instructions Or Tips For First-Time Flyers?

If you are particularly prone to motion sickness, taking a precautionary over the counter anti-motion sickness medication is a good idea. However, our flights are very smooth and turns are slow and gentle as this is a professional scenic tour and not a thrill ride. Most people do not experience motion sickness and do not need an anti-motion sickness medication.
