For every waterfall along the road to Hāna, there are dozens of other waterfalls higher up the slopes and valleys that you would never see unless you're on a helicopter tour. For example, rising above Hāna is the Haleakalā volcano and its 10,000-foot crater rim. Flying over the crater, you'll see the interior cinder cones of this 7-mile-long and 2600 ft deep volcanic valley!

From Kahului heliport, this tour flies down Maui’s north shore and its surf hotspot, Ho'okipa Bay. Continuing down the coastline, you’ll view the largest rainforest in the United States, known as the Hāna side. You’ll see waterfalls flowing into the ocean from stunning ocean cliffs, Hāna’s black sand beach, Hāna town, and maybe even spot some whales or dolphins in the ocean below. Next, you’ll ascend to the 10,000 ft high Haleakalā crater. This dormant volcano’s summit is like another world with its barren, multi-colored cliff faces and bright red cinder cones.
