The Joshua Tree Forest is one of the most amazing places on earth. Situated in the Mojave Desert, the forest is home to a variety of unique plant and animal life. Drive through the forest and you’ll be treated to views of towering Joshua Trees, rocky canyon walls, and sandy desert floors. You’ll also have the chance to see some of the desert’s most iconic wildlife, including coyotes, jackrabbits, and tortoises. Optional Activity: The Skywalk

The Skywalk is an optional activity on this adventure and can be purchased directly through Maverick Helicopters. The glass walkway allows visitors to feel like they are floating above the canyon. It is truly a breathtaking experience. However, to protect the glass walkway and preserve the Grand Canyon, no personal items are permitted on the Skywalk. This includes cameras, cellphones, strollers, purses, backpacks, etc. But don’t worry – there are plenty of photo opportunities before and after the walkway! And our friendly guides will be happy to take pictures of you and your group during your visit.

On this tour, you'll be picked up by your tour guide and driven to the Grand Canyon West. On the way, you’ll drive through the Joshua Tree Forest and see the incredible 900-year-old landscape, then explore the Canyons West Rim, Guano Point, and Eagle Point. For an additional fee, you have the option to add on the Skywalk, a glass bridge suspended nearly 4,000 feet above the Colorado River.

Enjoy lunch at the canyon’s rim before taking to the skies in an exclusive helicopter flight to the bottom of the canyon, where you have time to explore and take photos of this incredible location. You’ll fly another beautiful route going back to the rim and on your way back to Las Vegas, you’ll stop at the Hoover Dam. This is an adventure-packed day and tour you won’t want to miss!

You can cancel your helicopter tour at any time for a full cash refund if you let us know more than 7 days prior to your tour start date with no hassles. Most of our helicopter tours have a 72-hour cancellation policy but depending on the time of year and group size, this could be extended by the vendor to 7 days. Our blanket policy is 7 days. The individual product page will clarify if that particular flight has that longer cancellation period. Depending on the particular tour, there may only be a partial credit. There are no refunds if you decide to cancel within the 72-hour period. Any tours purchased within 72-hours of the start date, there are no refunds for no shows or cancellations. Full refunds are provided at any time if we must cancel your tour due to safety, staff issues, or equipment availability reasons.

What Should We Bring?

Guests over 18 must bring valid photo identification and payment, if applicable, for check-in. Cameras are also highly recommended.
I use an oxygen tank for medical necessity. Can I bring it on my flight?

Maverick Helicopters allows oxygen condensers and tanks as long as there is a clearly visible “D.O.T. Approved” stamp or placard on it.
Are the helicopter doors open during my flight?

Helicopter doors will always remain closed while flying.
Can my child sit on my lap?

Children over the age of 2 years are required to have their own seat. Children under the age of 2 years, with proof of age, (passport or birth certificate) to be considered a lap child.

Can I pick my seat?

All seating is computer generated, based on weight and balance limits, and isn’t assigned until check-in is complete. We do not guarantee seating next to or in the same row of the rest of the party. Pilots have the ability to rearrange seating if necessary.
